The bottle is fastened to the branch in spring, a young pear sealed inside it. From here the fruit has only one place to grow.

The pear begins to swell against the glass, still fed by the tree. Nothing is forced. It ripens on the branch, at its own pace.

By high summer the fruit fills the bottle, grown far past the width of the neck it entered through. This is the part that cannot be hurried.

The bottle comes off the branch with its pear inside, and is filled with the family's buckwheat Baijiu. One season, one fruit, one bottle.

The Harvest

At the end of the growing season, the bottles come off the branch, each one carrying the pear that grew to full size inside it, shaped by a season of sun and rain.

Due to the fragile balance of nature, only the highest quality pears are hand selected for the final product. Each harvest is unique, and every batch is limited.

Each bottle is then filled with the family's buckwheat Baijiu and sealed with its harvest inside. This is where the orchard becomes the cellar.
